The fifth episode of the immensely popular fantasy show Game of Thrones season has been made widely available on torrents and streaming sites, courtesy of the most unexpected entity to do so, HBO Nordic. According to viewers, HBO Nordic, which has made a large number of strides protecting its content from piracy was the sole reason behind this leak, and we have to say that it has made a large number of viewers extremely happy, naturally at the expense of the company.
According to The Next Rex, one Reddit went on to say the following:
“It’s online right now, if you want to go and watch it, but they might remove it soon. Someone probably messed up by putting it there.”
The leak was later confirmed by Torrentfreak. One of the biggest drawbacks of torrenting or streaming the GoT S06 E05 right now is that it possesses inferior quality most definitely because of the smaller resolution. According to Torrentfreak, 1080p versions of the episode have also been released so users who have access to unlimited bandwidth and top-notch downloading speeds will definitely take advantage of the extra speed in order to gain a much better experience.
HBO has not stated as to why it ended up leaking this GoT episode, but if the company had made such extreme efforts in protecting Game of Thrones season 6, then its highly possible that this leak was done by a mistake, or it could be the work of someone who was tired of the company’s policy and wanted to get back at them.
