Karbonn launches Alfa A120 low budget Android smartphone for Rs.4,590.00

Karbonn Alfa A120 a Android KitKat powered entry level smartphone with dual-core processor for Rs.4,590.00

Suddenly its raining budget smartphones in India. After Micromax launched its budget smartphone Canvas Sparx for Rs.4999.00, today Karbonn also announced its own Android KitKat powered budget level smartphone called Alfa A120 for Rs.4590.00 for Indian buyers.

The dual-SIM Karbonn Alfa A120 has 4.5-Inch FWVGA IPS display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz dual processor and runs on 512MB RAM. The smartphone comes with 4GB onboard memory which can be expanded upto 32GB via microSD card expansion slot. The Alfa A120 comes with a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a front facing VGA camera. For connectivity, it has options like 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.  The smartphone is powered by a 3000mAh battery, which Karbonn claims can run up to 240 hours of standby time and 18 hours of talk time.

The smartphone runs Android KitKat 4.4.2. The device supports multi-gesture and 22 Indian languages.

Our take is that though this is a decent smartphone from Karbonn, the price is too high for a smartphone running on 512MB RAM and with Android KitKat onboard. Micromax Canvas Spark is available at a similar price of Rs.4999.00 with some unbeatable specs compared to Karbonn Alfa A120 including having the latest Android Lollipop aboard it.
