Now forget about changing LED bulbs for a long time with new Dyson LED bulbs which will last 160,000 hours
If you have LED or normal incandescent bulbs in your house, you may have to change them periodically when they get fused. Now, you can happily forget about the headache of running to the shops and changing light bulbs when they run out, as Jake Dyson has introduced new LED bulbs which will shine “forever.”
The LED bulbs introduced by Jake Dyson will supposedly last for 37 years, ensuring 160,000 hours of continuous warm and white light against the 25000 hours given by the normal LED bulbs available in the market.
Normal LEDs are long-lasting but in some regular lights using them, the LEDs are bot protected from heat which leads to them losing brightness and colour. The new Dyson lights use heat pipe technology which will ensure 160,000 hours of continual use with a warm, white light at all times. The heat is drawn away from the LEDs through a heat sink in the lamp’s horizontal arm which is made of aluminium.
Whats’ more, the CSYS range offers desk, floor-standing and clap versions, and even includes a counterweight pulley system to enable moving the arm vertically while anti-friction bearings let you manipulate it horizontally. According to Dyson, the bulbs can also be rotated through 360 degrees.
The lights, which look very striking, come in black or white versions and offer touch-sensitive dimming to reach the exact level of light you need.
The CSYS lighting range goes on sale on Monday 8 June, the smaller lights cost £399 while the larger floor-standing model is £599 and come in black or white versions. They’ll be available on dyson.co.uk.
