This website will ‘hack’ Tinder for you to expose cheating partners – for a price
Do you suspect your partner is cheating on you by using Tinder dating App. A new website is offering to find out if a suspected partner is using Tinder to find love elsewhere .
For $4.99, Swipe Buster will track down a user for you by simply inputting their name and last known location. The website, called Swipebuster claims that it can track down a Tinder user and even expose the user’s last-known location.
Rather than “hacking” Tinder, it uses the app’s API (application program interface) to comb through its database and find the target. The API is intended for developers who want to build plug-in tools for Tinder. Tinder’s A.P.I. and database are public.
The man behind Swipe Buster, who according to Vanity Fair wishes to remain anonymous, told the magazine that Swipe Buster is a short-term project designed to make Tinder aware of how much information it is publicly disclosing about its users.
“There is too much data about people that people themselves don’t know is available,” the founder of the site explained to Vanity Fair .
“Not only are people oversharing and putting out a lot of information about themselves, but companies are also not doing enough to let people know they’re doing it,” he said – electing to remain anonymous.
Next time you suspect your partner of using Tinder, you know where to go!
