Pornhub, Xvideos banned in Philippines, Pornhub's biggest adult entertainment market

Pornhub’s biggest fans have been BLOCKED from visiting the website in the Philippines

Only last week, the Pornhub Insights had revealed that Filipinos spent more time on Pornhub than any other nationality. And today there was bad news for Filipinos! The Philippines government has yanked of Pornhub, Xvideos, and other similar websites from last Saturday.

Filipino visitors to Pornhub and Xvideos are shown a blocked website with a message stating that the website has been blocked under the authority of Philippine Government pursuant to Republic Act 9775 or the Anti-Child Pornography Law.

As of Saturday, access to known porn sites such as and had been forbidden, either through mobile phones or laptops. Users were redirected to a page notifying them of such a ban.

As said above, the ban comes a week after Filipinos topped for the third straight year Pornhub Insights report on worldwide adult entertainment trends. According to the report, Filipinos spent an average of 12 minutes and 45 seconds on the adult website, almost two minutes longer than a South African, which came in second. The Philippines has been making it to the top of Pornhub charts since 2014.

Neither the Philippines government nor the telecommunications watchdog gave reasons for the sudden blocking of Pornhub and Xvideos. According to sources. the action has been taken under a stringent anti-child pornography law. However, if Pornhub goes to court against the order, it may have a chance of winning as its website complies universal norms for adult videos.

Now that Pornhub and Xvideos are banned in the Philippines, it remains to be seen how the Filipinos will spend their time. They could, of course, circumvent the ISP level block by using a VPN service or visit thousands of other adult video websites available on the Internet.
