The classic FPS game, Doom gets InstaDoom, a mod with Instagram filters and selfie stick
Linguica, a Doom modder has created a new mod which adds 37 Instagram filters and a selfie stick to the classic first person shooter.
Doom is a series of first-person shooter video games developed by id Software. The classic FPS game was first released in 1993 and focuses on the exploits of an unnamed space marine operating under the UAC (Union Aerospace Corporation), who fights hordes of demons and the undead in order to survive. The game is so popular that even now modders make different maps of their own and release them online for other players.
Linguica calls his mod, InstadDoom, to which he has 37 filters for Instagram like Mayfair, Rise, Inkwell, and many more.
Linguica has also added a virtual selfie stick to his mod. The virtual selfie stick lets you take pictures of your in-game character posing with hell demons on Mars, as you can see in the image gallery above.
“You can only take so many pictures of your food slaughtering demons!” Linguica wrote. “You want to show the world how hott you are while you do it, and now you can! Use the latest in stick technology to get more of yourself in the shot! It’s American President Approved!”
If you are a Doom aficionado, You can find more details about the mod and download it on the Doomworld forums here.
