Intel’s Core i9-9900KS clocking at 5GHz on all 8 cores announced at Computex 2019

Computex 2019: Intel’s Core i9-9900KS processor with eight cores and 16 threads is a beast

Intel yesterday announced an unexpected mammoth CPU – the Core i9-9900KS Special Edition – targeted at gamers as well as gaming content creators, at the largest fair of Asia hardware, Computex 2019.

This model is an adaptation of the Intel Core i9-9900K introduced in October 2018. It has eight cores, 16 threads, 16 MB L3 cache, 14 nm ++ manufacturing process, support for DDR4 memories up to 2666 MHz, and GPU Intel UHD Graphics 630.

The Core i9-9900KS also features a base clock of 4GHz which is 400MHz higher than the 9900K and can reach up to 5GHz turbo boost speed across all eight of its cores. It also comes with a functioning integrated graphics unit.

Intel did not provide any information on TDP on the chipset, but it is safe to assume that the TDP will exceed the 95W TDP on the i9-9900K to reach the new speed. Additionally, details such as price and release date of the Intel Core i9-9900KS also remains unknown.
