Xiaomi Mi 4i to be available on Flipkart in Open Sale on May 25-26 without registration
Those who missed the earlier sale of Xiaomi’s flagship Mi 4i in the last sale have a chance to claim it once again through flash sale. Xiaomi Mi 4i will be available to Indian buyers on May 25 – 26 on Flipkart without any pre-registration.
Alongside, the Lenovo A6000 Plus will also go on sale without invites on Monday and Tuesday on Flipkart, as part of the e-commerce website’s electronics sale. Lenovo had announced its open sale earlier this week. The Mi 4i is the Xiaomi’s first smartphone to be launched first outside of China without much media attention at the firm’s Global Mi Phone Premiere event last month.
The Xiaomi Mi 4i features a unibody polycarbonate build, and has a soft touch matte finish with an anti-grease coating. It features a 5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) fully laminated OGS Corning Concore IPS display. The Mi 4i’s display has a 441ppi pixel density and a Sunlight Display feature that allows the phone to do dynamic tone mapping which keeps the quality of the image balanced in bright sunlight. Xiaomi claims that the smartphone has a higher color saturation than iPhone 6. It is a fully laminated OGS.
The Mi 4i features a dual-SIM dual standby support. The Chinese company claims to be 12 percent thinner and 13 percent lighter than the Mi 4. Further, it measures 7.8mm thickness and weighs 130 grams. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and an Adreno 405 GPU. It also comes with four power saving cores at 1.1 GHz and four performance cores at 1.7 GHz designed by Qualcomm India.
The Xiaomi Mi 4 comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage, with no expansion slot. The Mi 4i includes a 3120mAh battery, and supports a quick charge feature that charges the battery up to 40 percent in 1 hour, and 100 percent in 3 hours. The smartphone runs on MIUI 6 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop, and supports 6 Indian languages – Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, and Tamil.
In terms of camera, the smartphone sports a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual tone flash. It also includes torch feature for low light focusing and gets improved HDR feature. It also packs a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie lovers. In terms of connectivity, both the SIM card slots support the 4G LTE connectivity, and the phone is compatible with LTE bands in India. It also includes Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/GLONASS, 802.11ac and USB on-the-go.
Xiaomi Mi 4i, the latest smartphone from the company to enter the Indian market has been priced at Rs. 12,999 and will be available on the e-commerce website, Flipkart on May 25 – 26 without registration. In addition, Xiaomi has announced an exchange offer scheme for home appliances, mobile phones and accessories on those days. Also, the Xiaomi’s Mi 4 is available on Flipkart with a reduction of Rs 2,000 in its original price.
