Apple to release 16-inch MacBook Pro later this year
Apple has been rumored to be working on a new 16-inch MacBook Pro for quite some time now. There were also reports of this revamped version to be launching later this year. Well, this could very soon become a reality, according to a new report from Bloomberg that confirms the launch.
The new 16-inch MacBook Pro is rumored to replace the 15-inch MacBook Pro altogether and would also mark Apple’s largest since the 17-inch MacBook Pro was discontinued in 2012.
Apple’s rumored new laptop will have “ultra-narrow bezels” to accommodate a 16-inch screen, which means the overall size of the 16-inch MacBook Pro will be similar to that of the current 15-inch MacBook Pro models. It is also rumored that Apple could be ditching the company’s infamous butterfly keyboard in future MacBook laptops, starting with the 16-inch model.
The 16-inch MacBook Pro is aimed at professional computer users and is rumored to cost around $3,000.
While there is no official word on when the 16-inch MacBook Pro may launch, we could expect more details on it at Apple’s September event next month.
