Toshiba’s New FlashAir III Wireless SD Card
Toshiba has launched the FlashAir III wireless SD card, a third generation memory card for smartphones, cameras and other devices. FlashAir III serves as its own wireless LAN access point and allows users share images, videos and files wirelessly. The basic improvement over its earlier avatar FlashAir II is that FlashAir III comes with enhanced photo sharing and management features. With FlashAir III users can quickly designate which the photos to be shared instantly or just saved. It also gives more file management features from web browser on a PC.
FlashAir III lets you share your videos and photos with seven devices at the same time which includes PCs, Macs, smartphones and tablets, without the need for an Internet connection. In case you need to upload the file online, FlashAir III’s Internet pass-through feature allows users to access the card and Internet through a separate wi-fi router simultaneously allowing them to realtime uploads.
Commenting on the release of new FlashAir III wireless SD card ,Maciek Brzeski, Vice President, Branded Storage, Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., Digital Products Division, stated that,“We understand how important it is for consumers to share their photo and video memories with family and friends. We have eliminated the cumbersome task of uploading pictures via a USB cord so users can effortlessly share and manage their files, leaving more time for what’s important.”
For smartphone users, Toshiba also offers a free FlashAir mobile App that makes it easy to share files, videos and images via iOS and Android-based devices. The Toshiba FlashAir III wireless SD card will be available for purchase to users in March 2015 for $79.99 for 16GB and $99.99 for 32GB. Toshiba will give 5 years standard limited warranty on all FlashAir III Wireless SD Cards
