Cyanogen 12 rolling out now to OnePlus One, link to OTA file available

After lots of flip flops and delays, OnePlus One owners can finally download Cyanogen OS 12 which integrates Google’s latest Android 5.0 Lollipop to the popular ROM.

The latest version of Cyanogen’s software includes a Material Design refresh, adding new animations, interactions and an updated visual look.

Cyanogen 12 also has a new App Themer for customizing your phone and an in-house email client based on Boxer. Additionally, Cyanogen OS 12 users will get free access to premium email features such as Exchange support, multiple account integration, quick canned responses and customizable notifications.

The OTA update is available to all OnePlus One devices including those sold in India

The update will roll out to the Yu Yureka “very soon” according to a blog post on the Cyanogen blog, while the all new Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2+ will ship with Cyanogen 11, which can be updated to C12 through OTA.

To check for the update go to the Settings menu in your OnePlus One smartphone.  If you want the direct link, the OTA file is available here and a mirror site is available here.

Kindly remember you will have to be on the latest version of Cyanogen 11 (11S 05Q) to update through direct links.
