Nokia 6 Registration Crosses 913,000 Before Its January 19 Flash Sale
HMD Global’s first Nokia-branded Android smartphone, Nokia 6 is breaking all records, as it has managed to garner more than 913,000 registrations ahead of its first flash sale on January 19. Nokia 6 is up for pre-order in the Chinese market only on JD.com at CNY 1699 (Approx Rs 17,000).
It was reported on Friday that the Nokia 6 has been pre-ordered by over 250,000 people in the country within 24 hours of the announcement, which later doubled to more than 913,000. Each registration for Nokia 6 on JD.com is costing a user $9, which will be deducted from the final price at the time of purchase. The smartphone will be available for purchase via the flash sale.
HMD Global is getting ready to unveil some more Nokia Android smartphones. According to India.com “Nokia has begun sending out invites for an event scheduled to take place in Barcelona, Spain on February 26th, right before Mobile World Congress. It is hoped that Nokia will launch the Nokia 6 globally at the event.”
On the specs front, Nokia 6 features a 5.5-inch full-HD display with a 2.5D Gorilla Glass on top. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The dual-SIM Nokia 6 smartphone comes with a 3,000mAh non-removable battery. It has 16MP back camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection auto focus, and dual-tone flash, as well as an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture, which supports wide-angle selfies.
