Samsung Galaxy Note 8 reportedly code-named Baikal

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Reportedly Codenamed After Siberian Lake ‘Baikal’

Ever since the announcement of a successor to Galaxy Note 7 was made by the Samsung mobile unit head D.J. Koh last month, it has created a lot of excitement among the Note lovers.

He had recently stated that “I will bring back a better, safer and very innovative Note 8” and this decision comes from the want to offer owners of Galaxy Note 4 and Note 5 a Note product to upgrade.

Now, according to a recent rumor provided by an industry insider on Twitter suggests that work has already begun on the new Note. It was accompanied by an image which you can see below. The project is said to be code-named Baikal, which Samsung may have derived from one of the deepest lakes located in Siberia.

The Galaxy Note 8 is rumored to feature a 4K display (for better VR experience) and the AI-powered virtual assistant Bixby. Samsung will reportedly source batteries for the device from LG, and that’s all that is known about the alleged phablet at the moment.

We will keep reporting about the device as and when we get any new information about it. So, keep watching this space.
