Tesla’s Elon Musk says AI is a bigger threat to humanity than Nuclear Bombs

Tesla owner Elon Musk says that Artificial Intelligence is likely to kill more people than a nuclear blast

The master has spoken. Tesla owner Elon Musk who has had a history of being wary of artificial intelligence has warned that more people will be killed in the future by AI rather than nuclear bombs. As of today, it is believed that the nuclear and hydrogen bombs are the ultimate risk to the human race. Tesla’s warning or prophecy may change the way we look at artificial intelligence.

Musk was speaking in regard to the ongoing war of threats between the United States and North Korea, The belligerent regime of Kim Jong Un is hell bent on testing a nuclear device which President Trump and the US think tanks believe could alter the world peace.

Speaking at a function after an AI built by OpenAI, a company founded by Musk defeated the world’s best Dota 2 players after just two weeks of training.  When questioned about the ongoing war of words between President Trump and Kim Jong Un, the despotical leader of North Korea, Elon Musk said artificial intelligence poses more of a “risk” than a potential nuclear conflict between the US and North Korea.

“If you’re not concerned about AI safety, you should be. Vastly more risk than North Korea,” he tweeted shortly after his company build AI won the Dota 2 championship, along with a picture of a poster bearing the slogan: “In the end, the machines will win”.

Musk has been a doomsday predictor regarding AI for over last 10 years. about four years ago, Musk called AI “a fundamental existential risk for human civilization.”  “Nobody likes being regulated, but everything (cars, planes, food, drugs, etc) that’s a danger to the public is regulated. AI should be too,” he added later.

“Biggest impediment to recognizing AI danger are those so convinced of their own intelligence they can’t imagine anyone doing what they can’t.”

A University of Oxford study concluded that AI will be better than humans at all tasks within 45 years, and many people, including Stephen Hawking, believe humans will be in trouble in the future if our goals don’t align with those of machines.  While another Oxford study had said that AI would be one of the 10 greatest threats to humanity in coming future.

The anti-doomsday camp which includes Mark Zuckerberg believes AI will help improve human lives vastly in near future. In fact, Zuckerberg went on to criticize Musk and branded his views as “negative” and “pretty irresponsible”. Musk, however, stood by his words and said that Zuckerberg had very little understanding about AI.

As they say in Game of Thrones, the winter is coming!!! or should we say I will be back like Arnold said in Terminator.
