Nokia’s New Phone 5710 XpressAudio Comes With Built-in TWS Earphones

HMD Global on Tuesday unveiled an eccentric feature phone called “Nokia 5710 XpressAudio”, which it claims is a “Game-changing audio meets 21st century innovation.”

The new Nokia 5710 XpressAudio, which sports a unique design, looks like a typical candy bar-style feature phone on the front. However, the highlight of this handset is the in-built pair of truly wireless (TWS) earbuds that are housed beneath a sleek and robust slider on the back of the phone.

When you pull down the slider cover, it will reveal the earbuds fitted into it. You can pop them out when you want to listen to music and put them back to charge when you are done. The TWS earbuds offer up to 4 hours of music playback per charge or 2.4 hours of talk time. The sliding mechanism that houses the earbuds also doubles up as a charging compartment for the earbuds when not in use.

Coming to specifications of the Nokia 5710 XpressAudio, the dual-SIM feature smartphone comes with a 2.4-inch QVGA display and a classic T9 keyboard. It also offers a 240 x 320 pixels screen resolution with 167ppi density. The device measures 138.9 x 57.7 x 16.2 mm (5.47 x 2.27 x 0.64 in) and weighs 129.1 g (4.55 oz).

Further, the feature phone is powered by a 22nm Unisoc T107 processor and comes with up to 48MB of RAM and 128MB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 32GB storage via the microSD slot.

The device is backed by a Li-Ion 1450 mAh removable battery, which offers up to 6 hours of 4G talk time and charges via Micro USB (USB 2.0). It also offers up to 20 days of standby with two 4G SIM cards inserted.

On the camera front, the Nokia 5710 XpressAudio comes with a single camera setup consisting of a 0.3 MP primary sensor. It supports 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, Wireless FM Radio, dual speakers, and an MP3 player (requires MicroSD card, sold separately).

The feature phone runs the S30+ operating system. It includes Gameloft Games (Snake, Tetris, BlackJack, Arrow Master, Air Strike, NinjaUp) and Origin Data games (Racing Attack – Multiplayer, DOODLE JUMP, CROSSY ROAD, English with Oxford).

Nokia 5710 XpressAudio comes in two colors: white/red and black/red with the earbuds matching the phone’s primary color. The new feature phone is priced at £74.99 (€69) and will be available in the UK in late July. However, there is no word on the U.S. release date. Stay tuned for more updates!
