Oppo Find N2 Flip Launches Globally To Compete Against Samsung’s Z Flip 4

OPPO, the world’s leading smart device brand, finally officially debuted its first-ever flip foldable smartphone, the Find N2 Flip, in global markets on February 15. The smartphone was first unveiled at OPPO INNO Day 2022 in China in December 2022.

The Find N2 Flip, which is looked upon as a direct and toughest competitor to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 4 in the flip-foldable segment, will also compete against the likes of Motorola RAZR 2022 and Huawei P50 Pocket.

The Find N2 Flip is scheduled to arrive in the UK in the next few weeks and will cost under £900.

OPPO Find N2 Flip: Specifications and Features

The OPPO Find N2 Flip features a primary 6.8-inch AMOLED screen when unfolded with a typical brightness of 1200 nits (HBM) and a peak brightness of 1600 nits. The screen supports up to 120Hz dynamic refresh rate and a 21:9 aspect ratio, while the panel supports HDR10+ capability and 97 percent DCI-P3 coverage.

When folded, the outer screen becomes a 3.26-inch cover OLED display with a resolution of 382 x 720 pixels, which is much bigger than the one on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4. The cover display of 3.26 inches comes with 900 nits of peak brightness and supports up to 60Hz refresh rate.

OPPO’s “Flexion” hinge has a no-gap design, an invisible crease, and a diffuse texture. The hinge can also stick in place between 45-110°. As far as the durability of its folding mechanism is concerned, OPPO claims that the Find N2 Flip is rated to survive 400,000 folding cycles, in comparison to 200,000 for Samsung’s Z Flip 4.

Under the hood, the OPPO Find N2 Flip is powered by a 4nm Mediatek Dimensity 9000+ SoC and a Mali-G710 MC10 GPU. It comes with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone also has an additional virtual RAM option (expandable up to 16GB).

On the camera front, OPPO has announced its collaboration with Hasselblad and comes equipped with OPPO’s MariSilicon X NPU for enhanced image-based photography.

The Find N2 Flip comes with a dual-camera setup on the rear with a 50MP Sony IMX890 primary sensor and an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultrawide unit with a 112-degree FoV. The inner display has a 32MP selfie camera on top for quick high-resolution selfies and video calls.

For connectivity, the OPPO Find N2 Flip is equipped with 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.3, GPS/A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port. Also, the device has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for authentication.

Additionally, the OPPO Find N2 Flip is powered by a massive 4,300mAh battery, supporting 44W SuperVOOC fast charging. The smartphone comes pre-loaded with Android 13-based ColorOS skin and will receive four years of major Android version updates and five years of security updates.

In the UK, the OPPO Find N2 Flip is priced at £849 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model. It is also available in other regions in Europe. The smartphone is available in two color options: Astral Black and Moonlit Purple.
