Several Samsung Galaxy Smartphones have been affected by the infamous Green Line Issue after a recent software update.
The issue is reported to be quite common among devices with Super AMOLED Displays and the Samsung Galaxy S21 Series.

List Of Devices Eligible For Free Display Replacement
In a WhatsApp conversation with Twitter User Tarun Vats, Samsung India confirmed that the company will offer One-Time Free Display Replacement for several flagship smartphones even if they are out of warranty.
Here’s a complete list of eligible smartphones,
- Samsung Galaxy S20/ S20+/ S20 Ultra
- Samsung Galaxy Note 20 /Note 20 Ultra
- Samsung Galaxy S21/ S21+/ S21 Ultra
- Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultraย
It’s worth noting that Samsung might or might not add the S21 FE, S22, and S22+ to the list of eligible devices soon.
Samsung has made it clear that there is a deadline to avail this free display replacement service.
Consequently, if you are affected by this issue you should book an appointment at a Samsung Service Center by 30th April, 2024.
Why Does The Green Line Issue Occur On Samsung Smartphones?
At the time of writing this article, the exact cause behind the green line issue is still unclear.
However, several reliable sources have suggested that the issue is caused by a hardware defect that has been amplified and gotten worse by heat from software updates.
The issue is mostly commonly occurring in the Samsung Galaxy S21 Series of devices.
Well, despite offering free display replacement, Samsung still hasn’t acknowledged this issue officially.
