TAO, The Office of Tailored access Operation is described as, “The Squad of On-Call Digital Plumbers” This TAO is able to divert shipping Deliveries to its workshop where they plant Back doors in The Electronic Devices. these devices are then shipped as normal way without anyone getting any idea that the shipping was tampered.
while working with the NSA, TAO has also been working with CIA and FBI on sensitive secret missions and has penetrated the security of UnderSea Fiber-optic cable. Sometimes Hackers from TAO flied in CIA and FBI’S private jet planes so that they Successfully plant wire traps without being noticed.
The report confirms how it exploited the Hardware and Software Vulnerabilities in Microsoft, Cisco, Huawei, Dell, Seagate, Samsung, Maxtor, Juniper Networks, Western Digital and much more to plant Back Doors and Malwares to spy over the target.
It was NSA’s TAO unit who in the middle part of the last decade successfully gained access to 258 targets in 89 Countries, in about every part of the world. More over TAO hackers also directly accessed the Protected Networks of Democratically elected leaders of Countries. and hacked into European Telecommunication Companies and gained access to Mails sent over Blackberry’s BES email server.
