Veteran moon astronaut claims “Aliens prevented nuclear war on Earth”

NASA astronaut and Apollo 14 veteran claims peace-loving aliens prevented ‘nuclear war’ on Earth

Edgar Mitchell, sixth man to walk the surface of the moon, claims that at the beginning of the Cold War between America and Soviet Union, aliens came to Earth with the purpose of stopping the nuclear war.

A recent claim made by Edgar Mitchell, a veteran of the Apollo 14 mission in 1971, states that peace-loving aliens came to Earth to stop the nuclear war which would have taken place between America and Russia resulting in destroying humanity from Earth.

In a statement made to Mirror Online, Mitchell added that there are some military officials who have seen the strange UFOs hovering over the area during weapons tests at US missile bases and the famous White Sands Proving Ground in the New Mexico desert, the place where world’s first nuclear bomb was detonated in 1945.

Way back in 1971, Mitchell landed on the surface of the moon and has spent around nine hours in the Fra Mauro Highlands of the lunar surface and since then he has been believing the existence of aliens and has been frank enough in expressing his thoughts regarding the so called peace-keeping aliens.

Mitchell grew up in New Mexico which was near to the nuclear bomb testing zone as well as Roswell, a city in New Mexico, which is well known for the world’s famous UFO encounters.

During his interview with Mirror Online, Mitchell said: “You don’t know the area like I do.” He added: “White Sands was a testing ground for atomic weapons – and that’s what the extraterrestrials (ET) were interested in. They wanted to know about our military capabilities.”

“My own experience talking to people has made it clear the ETs had been attempting to keep us from going to war and help create peace on Earth.”

Mitchell mentioned that there were other people in the military missile testing bases who had heard similar stories regarding the UFOs and ET.

He further added: “I have spoken to many Air Force officers who worked at these silos during the Cold War. They told me UFOs were frequently seen overhead and often disabled their missiles. Other officers from bases on the Pacific coast told me their [test] missiles were frequently shot down by alien spacecraft. There was a lot of activity in those days.”

Mirror Online, inquired with the former Ministry of Defense UFO researcher, Nick Pope, regarding the claims made by Mitchell.

According to Pope, Mitchell is honorable and truthful, besides Pope has also had the opportunity of meeting Mitchell in person. However, Pope is quite skeptical about this theory which claims that the peace-keeping aliens traveled the cosmos just to stop the nuclear war which would have taken place between U.S. and Russia.

He said: “But so far as I’m aware, most of his information on this issue comes not from things he’s experienced himself, but from things he’s been told by others. Clearly, because of who he is, he’s had access to government, military and intelligence community personnel at the highest level, but because – quite understandably – he won’t name his sources, we can’t be certain these people were being straight with him, or indeed that they were privy to any classified information about UFOs.”

He continued :”‘the idea that peace-loving extraterrestrials are here to warn humanity about our destructive ways‘ is popular with those who take a New Age view of the UFO phenomenon.”

“It’s a nice thought, but if I’m being skeptical, I’d point out that it’s almost exactly the plot of the classic 1951 sci-fi movie The Day the Earth Stood Still,” he continued.

“There have certainly been some intriguing UFO sightings around nuclear facilities, and around military bases more generally, but an alternative explanation is that some of these sightings are attributable to espionage activity involving secret spy planes or drones.”

“Given that the Universe is around 14 billion years old, if we’re being visited, it’s unlikely we’re dealing with a civilisation just a few hundred years ahead of us, so stories of aliens managing to disrupt a few of our weapons tests are far-fetched. Chances are they’d be millions of years ahead of us and could do anything they wanted to.”

Our Universe and Aliens are all a mystery till date to humans and even if we consider that aliens did land up on Earth with the purpose of disarming the U.S. military weapons we should be thankful to them for stopping this destruction, isn’t it? I personally think we are drastically in need of peace loving humans as well aliens to bring harmony on our Planet Earth.

Readers, what are your opinions regarding these Aliens, do you consider them as peace lovers and supporters of planet Earth or are they some spying agents just waiting to destroy our planet and humans!

  1. I don’t believe we are alone in this universe. I don’t know “their” intended purpose with this planet, but I can’t dismiss the fact that if the ‘aliens’ have been in existence for millenniums longer that this planets people they have seen much we wouldn’t understand. Until those who TRULY know the purpose of their visitations to this planet come forward and explain to all the people of the earth, there will be those who won’t believe, and dismiss the possibility that we are not alone in the universe. When the people of this planet are ready, the information will be freely given, and we will learn more about the other ‘beings’ of the universe. Until that time, people, believers and non-believers, will always be divided.

  2. even the famous wikipedia also agrees that there been one instance where aliens hacked all electronic mass communication devices and told humans to stop war activities, it was broadcasted in england, original videos still exist

  3. I believe if they really wanted to destroy, we wouldn’t be posting this comment this very moment ergo the sure are peace lovers, i had an UFO sighting myself in my childhood and then i used to think it was a rocket because i thought rocket was very big however i came to realize the fact much after when i was in 10th grade when i pondered even if its a rocket, it looks puny much above in sky.

External interference might open our eyes, we might learn things after-all we are sick of human killing human. Maybe someone is needed to teach us peace and harmony.

  4. till now they have did nothing that could just harm our planet……
bt I cant say anything about their further attempts…
