Did a UFO crash into Antarctica? Check it out yourself

Strange sighting of a UFO like structure on Google Maps baffles internet sleuths

Did a UFO crash into the Earth’s South Pole? The crash site shown on Google Maps seems to suggest that the crashed object is a UFO but you can go on Google Maps and judge for yourself.

If you want to see the intriguing image, type 80°34’08.4″S 30°05’19.3″W into the search bar on Google Maps and set it to the satellite ‘Earth’ view.

The UFO hunters are certain. Alien hunter Valentin Degretev said on a Russian social media site the object is a ‘classic’ shaped UFO.

Ever since the discovery was made by Degretev, the co-ordinates of the ‘crash site’ have been shared widely on social media.

According to the The Mirror, he said: “In amongst the endless ice desert, it is the most genuine UFO in its most classic shape,”

“It is definitely not a polar station nor a plane as there aren’t any airplanes or helicopters this big in the world,” said Mr Degterev. He estimated the size of the object as roughly 204-foot across.

However, on a poll conducted by Mirror, users overwhelmingly voted to suggest that the image shown by Google Maps is a crack in the ice. The frozen land of Antarctica covers 14 million square kilometers (5.4 million square miles) and many believe that if UFOs did land there, humans would never know.

Rationals suggest that it could either be crack in the ice or a crevasse. For this one, our readers can be a better judge, put in the co-ordinates and see for yourself?
