No, Facebook is not going to delete posts with 10 Dislikes
Ever since Mark Zuckerberg announced that Facebook will be introducing a Dislike button for posts, the tech forums have been agog with a rumour that Facebook will delete Posts that have 10 Dislikes. We would like to emphatically state that there is no such proposal by Facebook.
Also many websites have articles are saying the above to be true. Especially a website which is going around cloning popular US news website and has a deceptive URL “usatoday.com.co” instead of the legitimate one which is “usatoday.com”is carrying a story saying that “New Facebook Dislike Button Will Delete Posts With 10 Dislikes”
We can reassure our readers that this article is completely made up. Most of the ‘news’ on this website is completely over the top and obviously made up, like when they recently said Kim Davis was getting an award from ISIS.
Mark Zuckerberg has stated that the button would not work like a downvote button that could be used to show disapproval, but it would be more like an ’empathy’ button. People could use it to indicate they empathize with the poster instead of appearing to ‘like’ whatever happened, for example when a pet dies or some other bad news is posted.
