Developer hacks Nexus 5X to run Windows 10 Mobile on it
Nexus 5X might run the purest form of Googleโs Android OS, but the latest video shows that in addition to running stock Android, the phone can also run Windows 10 Mobile. Most readers would not even believe that the smartphone would be capable of doing such a thing, but thanks to Slashgear, the latest video shows that the phone is seamlessly running Microsoftโs Windows 10 Mobile.
Windows 10 Mobile is not without its problems, and there are a ton of fixes needed that will allow Windows Phones, particularly those with low-end hardware to run properly, but Nexus 5X is able to hold its own against the operating system, which is quite impressive to say the least. We have to say that the contributing factor for this accomplishment has to do with the hexa-core processor along with 2GB of LPDDR4 RAM.
Windows 10 Mobile does deliver some hiccups on low-end phones, but Nexus 5X is capable of running it smoothly, which was really nice to see. Nexus 5X might be slower than Nexus 6P in the performance and hardware department, but if you watch the video given above, you will be able to see that the phone is able to handle Windows 10 Mobile quite well. The battery capacity of Nexus 5X is a 2,700mAh cell, which means that users would be able to rake some heavy talk time out of the device if they ever wanted to run Windows 10 Mobile on it.
One of the biggest perks of owning a Nexus 5X is that you will immediately receive software and security updates, ensuring optimum performance and security for your device.
