KickassTorrents domain goes up for sale on SEDO for $230
RIP KickassTorrents. Even as the torrenting community mourns the death of KickassTorrents, one of the domains belonging to the world’s most popular torrent website has been put up for sale.
One of the domains that points to KickassTorrents, Kickass.cr is up for sale with a minimum bid of $230, TorrentFreak reported.
According to the report, the domain is available through the SEDO marketplace.
2015-16 has been a bad year for Torrent lovers. First we had news of the death of YTS/YIFY last November. Now KickassTorrents bites the dust after the alleged Ukrainian founder of KickassTorrents, Artem Vaulin, was arrested in Poland and faces extradition to the United States.
KickassTorrents.com has been seized and currently displays the Homeland Security/Department of Justice seizure banner. Other Kickass sister domains like Kastatic.com and Thekat.tv were also seized and display the US Homeland Security banner.
