Indian girl stands up to cyber bullying, makes a gutsy Facebook post to thwart blackmailer

Taruna Aswani Stands Up To A Hacker And Blackmailer, Makes A Facebook Post Detailing His Blackmail

A US-based Indian woman has shown she has what it takes to stand up to a cyber blackmailer and hacker. Taruna Aswani went public with her blackmailerโ€™s emails, seeking help and support from the online community to help hunt him down. In doing so, Taruna has set an example for many others who face blackmail and extortion from hackers and blackmailers.

Taruna received an email from an unknown hacker, who claimed to have hacked into her accounts. The hacker threatened Taruna that he will leak her private photos and videos onlineย unless she made another set of her nude photos and sent them to him.

Instead of complying with the hackers threat, Taruna decided to go public. She made an all revealingย Facebook post in which she posted screenshots of the email from her blackmailer who is a person named โ€œKevin Johnโ€. Taruna appealed to the online community through her Facebook post to help her track the hacker so he could be handed over to authorities.

She says in her post, โ€œ

As embarrassing as the videos may be (they were sent to my boyfriend at the time) I choose to stand up to this man. Instead of cowering down to his requests. I do this so that other women may take a lesson to stand up to bullies.โ€

Taruna’sย post became viral and a good samaritan tagged it to Mumbai Police who replied asking her to file a complaint. Social media users from all over the world have applauded Taruna’s courage and congratulated her for standing up to cyberbullying.

Kindly check out Taruna’s Facebook postย and help her identify the hacker/blackmailer so he is handed over to the authorities.
