Further, both the two models come with dynamic island notch design, which was first introduced in last year’s iPhone 14 Pro devices. It lets users keep track of notifications, control music, and get real-time updates on food delivery, ride-sharing, sports scores, travel plans, and more.

Under the hood, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus handsets are powered by the fast and efficient A16 Bionic chip, which powers the iPhone 14 Pro. It comes with a 6-core CPU with 2 high-performance and 4 high-efficiency cores, a 5-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine.

As for the design, they both feature a sophisticated new look, as in the colour is infused throughout the back glass. Apple says that the back glass has been strengthened with an optimized dual-ion exchange process before being polished with nanocrystalline particles and etched to create a luxurious, textured matte finish.

Moving to cameras, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus come with a new 48MP main lens with f/1.6 aperture along with a 12MP telephoto sensor. The selfie camera remains at 12MP. Also, the portrait, night, action modes, and Live Photos have been improved.

The smartphones also feature an additional 2x Telephoto option, which gives users three optical-quality zoom levels — 0.5x, 1x, 2x — for the first time on an iPhone dual-camera system.

Another much-awaited feature of the phone is the addition of the USB Type-C port for fast charging, which Apple has been forced to adapt as per the new EU laws. Both these handsets are splash, water, and dust resistant and have an IP68 (maximum depth of 6 meters up to 30 minutes) rating. As far as the battery is concerned, Apple claims they offer an all-day battery.

Other features include a second-generation Ultra Wideband chip, Emergency SOS via Satellite, iOS 17, lightning-fast 5G technology, and much more.
