Crytek, German gaming company, Developer of Crysis shoot ‘em up series, faces security breach.

The German game developer of hot game series Crysis & shoot ‘em up, have faced possible security breach.

Crytek have taken some of its website down after possible security breach that may have caused users login data being leaked, during the security breach.

Websites that are down and may have faced security breach:

 

 

  • https://mycrysis.com/
  • https://crydev.net/
  • https://mycryengine.com/
  • https://crytek.com/

the last two mentioned websites were up at the time of writing the Article after review and checking. Crytek have already asked users to change their password, informing them of the possible security breach by emails. users will be asked to change it next time when they try to log in. 

One of the officials from Crytek said:

 
“Although it is uncertain whether the incident led to the copying and decryption of email addresses and passwords, it is possible that users with accounts at these websites have had personal data copied. On Friday afternoon we started to contact all affected users via email and informed them of the potential security breach.
“We would like to reiterate our suggestion to account holders that they change their password for other locations online if it is the same as their login data for the affected Crytek sites.”


Just a few months ago Konami  ubisoft and nitendo were targeted.
