Dead body found in Apple HQ conference room
One Apple employee was found dead on Wednesday at the companyโs Silicon Valley HQ, and according to authorities and local media, the victim had suffered a head wound with a gun that was discovered near his body. According to Sergeant Andrea Urena of the Santa Clara County Sheriffโs Office, she states:
โWhen deputies responded to the campus they found one individual male down and determined he was deceased. Further investigation determined that no other individuals were involved. We believe this to be an isolated incident and that nobody else on campus or in the public is at risk.โ
Currently, authorities are not searching for any suspects, but Urena has said Santa Clara County Coronerโs investigators are going to perform an autopsy to conclude as to why the victim succumbed to the injuries.
Apple said the following in a statement, and according to the company, they were deeply by the loss of its employee:
โWe are heartbroken by the tragic loss of a young and talented coworker. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends, including the many people he worked with here at Apple.โ
On Tuesday, Apple reported itโs first-ever decline in iPhone sales and its first revenue drop in 13 years. It could be possible that the slump in the companyโs growth could have let to the individual to come to this devastating end, or perhaps the individualโs superiors told him to reach a target that he was unable to, possibly leading him to take his life with the weapon that was found next to his body.
Regardless, making assumptions will not help us to get closer to the truth and it is up to the authorities to conclude what really happened.
