In light of the global coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Apple on Friday announced a 90-day free trial of its video and audio editing software designed for professional projects, Final Cut Pro X (FCPX) and Logic Pro X.
The new longer trial options are certainly beneficial at this time where office employees, as well as students, have been forced to work or study from home amidst the global coronavirus pandemic.
Final Cut Pro X already has a 30-day free trial, which has now been extended to 90 days. Both new customers and those who have already downloaded the prior 30-day free trial of Final Cut Pro X are eligible to extend for the 90-day offer.
While Apple doesn’t mention when the offer for 90-day trials will end, it does note that both programs will revert back to 30 days in the future after a limited time.
To get the free 90 days trial of Final Cut Pro (version 10.4.8) for your Mac, go here and enter your name, email address in the box, and then click Download.
You can now download the free trial options of Final Cut Pro X and Logic Pro X from Apple’s dedicated websites. The 90-days free trial is available to all users around the world.
For those who wish to keep using the tool after the expiration of the trial period, can do so by purchasing Final Cut Pro X and Logic Pro X for $299.99 and $199.99 respectively.
