Meet “Jio Glass” Mixed Reality Glasses With 3D Holographic Video Calling By Reliance Jio

After revolutionizing the mobile Internet in India, Reliance Jio is here to take Indian digital space one step forward with Jio Glasses. They introduced today at the 43rd Reliance AGM 2020 held via video conferencing due to the ongoing COVID pandemic.

The product reveal comes after the exciting morning news of Reliance Jio and Google partnership for jointly developing an Android-based operating system.

Meet – Jio Glass

Jio Glass joins the club of mixed reality headsets and glasses, including Google Glass, Microsoft HoloLens, and Vue Glasses.

The mixed reality glasses weigh only 75 grams, supporting all the standard audio formats with a multi-directional personalized sound system. You can connect a cable to your phone from the glasses and go online.

Jio Glass supports over 25 apps onboard, which come pre-installed for the most part. On top of that, you can utilize the high definition display for joining/conducting video conferences from different parts of the world.

In the era where social distancing has become the need of the hour, holding virtual reality-based meetings, presentations have become increasingly essential. Jio Glass promises to do that effortlessly for professionals across the Globe.

Moreover, you can use it for conducting virtual classrooms, amongst several other sightseeing of the world as well.

Other products releases 

Apart from the Jio Glasses, Reliance also introduced JioTV Plus, a combined OTT platform for over 12 OTT services. You will need a single login to access all of the services. 

Secondly, JioFibre was also reiterated as a bundled product along with JioTV Plus for viewing channels online. It offers virtually all TV channels available that are available on DTH, cable. 

That’s not all. Jio has introduced Jio 5 Phone, and Jio 5G network as well, becoming the first Indian SIM carrier to take the leap forward.

Prices under the Wraps

Although the products look promising, the prices of Jio Glass and JioTV Plus are yet to be revealed. The content consumers will be eyeing on the latter for providing a respite from the expensive cost of subscribing to different OTT plans.
