Elon Musk, the CEO of X (formerly known as Twitter) had earlier this year confirmed that users wouldย soon be able to watch long-form videos on their big-screen TVs, just like Netflix, Prime Video and other OTT apps.
In a recent tweet, Musk has confirmed that the beta version of the X TV app is now available for Android TVs.
Currently, it is accessible on various devices such as LG, Amazon Fire TV, and Google TV and will be made available to other Android platforms very soon.
“The X app is the trusted global digital town square for everyone, on your TV! Discover a new way to experience the world of X, as we bring you unique and engaging content right to your living room,” reads the description of the X TV app on the Google Play Store.

The X TV app offers a variety of live channels covering news, TV shows, movies, documentaries, music, weather, sports, and pre-recorded and original content without requiring set-top boxes, which can be enjoyed in high-quality streaming, with HD and 4K resolution options.
While the service is free, only those with an X account can access the X TV app.
Further, the X TV app also offers several exclusive features, one of which is Replay TV, which allows users to store up to 72 hours of shows in the cloud.
Another feature is Startover TV, which lets viewers start any live show from the beginning, even if they are late to join in.
In addition, there is a Free Cloud DVR feature that users can use to record up to 100 hours of DVR recordings without any additional charges.
Currently, the beta version of the X TV app can be accessed by those with an X account on Android smart TVs.
