Lava launches Iris Alfa L with Android Lollipop 5.0, a 5.5 inch display and 8MP camera for Rs.8000

Lava releases mid budget Iris Alfa L at in India t Rs. 8,000 with Android Lollipop, 5.5 inch display and 8MP rear camera

With the launch of the new Lava Iris Alfa L, Indian handset maker, Lava has further broadened its Iris smartphone series. The device is a descendant to the Lava Iris Alfa, which was earlier this year launched at Rs 6,550. Lava Iris Alfa L will be available to Indians at a price of Rs 8,000, which is listed on the companyโ€™s website. It will be available in two color variants, White and Black.

In terms of specifications, the Lava Iris Alfa L comes with a 5.5-inch qHD IPS display and a 540 x 960 pixel resolution. It includes a pixel density of roughly 200ppi along with a 16.7 million color range. It is driven by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor along with 1 GB RAM. The dual SIM device comes with an internal storage of 8GB that can be further enlarged up to 32GB via a microSD card.

The Lava Iris Alfa L comes fitted with an 8MP autofocus PureCel rear camera along with LED flash and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop. In addition, it comes with a 2MP front-facing camera as well. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS and USB 2.0. It includes a 3,000mAh battery and the company states that the battery can deliver up to 12 days of standby time (with single sim) and up to 13 hours 15 mins of talk time (3G).
