Micromax to launch budget smartphone to take on Motorola, Lenovo and Xiaomi’s current bestseller smartphones

Micromax is all set to take on the Budget phone competition in India with its plan to launch a new phone in the last week of April in partnership with Snapdeal.

The exact features of the phone is still not known however the phone is believed to carry similar specs as that of the Xiaomi’s Redmi 2. Reports suggest that the smartphone will have a 4.3-5 inch display and will be powered with quad core processor.

Micromax earlier today released a teaser of its upcoming product and hinted the partnership with online retailer Snapdeal in a tweet :

While the tweet does not suggest anything about the features it only carries riddle which may be hinting at the name of new Micromax smartphone and a suggestion indicating that the phone will be available through flash sale on Snapdeal.

Micromax’s new phone will not only challenge the Xiaomi’s budget phone Redmi 2, but also will compete with Motorola moto E 2nd Generation, Lenovo A6000 and others in its price range.
