Hidden Features of Facebook You Should Know About

Some interesting features offered by Facebook which are commonly not known

If you are using Facebook for a long time you probably know most of these features but newbies can learn them. Facebook remains the world’s top social networking website with a billion+ users and it has been making its UI that much more easier for users. Some features are known but many such hidden features dwell in Facebook. Here are some of them :

Logging Out Remotely:

In case, you logged into Facebook on a someone’s computer, and forgot to log out. You can log out of that location remotely, without having access to their computer.

Open up Facebook’s web interface, click the down arrow at the top right and select Settings > Security > Where You’re Logged In. Find the place(s) you don’t want to be logged in at and click the End activity link.

A Hidden Inbox:

Your account has another inbox with the one you use. This secondary inbox is similar to “spam folder” in E-mail.
This inbox usually contains messages from unknown persons( people which are considered to be unknown for you according to Facebook).

To access this inbox, simply follow these steps:

>>Click on message icon and wait for the message tray to be loaded.
>>Now on the top of the tray, you will see two sections named “Recent” and “Message Requests”
Click on message requests
>>Click on “Filtered Messages” at the bottom of the tray.

Playing Chess in Messenger App:

Although there are lots of apps and services you can use for chatting to friends, Facebook Messenger is one of the better options because you can pretty much guarantee most people you know will have a Facebook account.

In addition to chatting with your friends you can now challenge them to play a game of chess, but only if you know the secret phrase to launch it, and the hotkeys used to pay the game.

To start a new game just type @fbchess play during a conversation. A board will appear. Your opponent will go first.

Select a piece using the following:

K for king

Q for queen

B for bishop

N for knight

R for rook

P for pawn

and to position that piece, type the corresponding letters and numbers.

For Example @Fbchess Pd4

A BasketBall game in messenger

If you do not have great times playing chess then there is another game for you. Just send a Basket Ball emoji to someone whom you want to play with, and tap the message containing that emoji to start playing.

Changing the Language to something exciting:

Go for a language change and then instead of selecting a new language, select pirate or upside version of your language(There are many other variants to choose from).

View Your Relationship Over the Years

You can see what you’ve got up to with your significant other over the years by going to www.facebook.com/us. This will display all of the shared and tagged content that includes you both.

Save a Post For Viewing Later

Want to read a post on Facebook but don’t have time right now? You can save it for later. Click the down arrow at the top-right of the post and click Save link. This will send the story to your Saved folder which appears in the sidebar on the left.
