OnePlus, the popular Chinese smartphone manufacturer, on Wednesday hosted an online event to unveil its new high-end flagship smartphone, OnePlus 8T.
This next-generation smartphone includes a newly calibrated 120Hz Fluid AMOLED display, and the company’s fastest charging solution ever – Warp Charge 65.

Specs And Features Of OnePlus 8T
Coming to the specifications, OnePlus 8T features a 6.55-inch Full HD+ Fluid AMOLED display with a screen refresh rate of 120Hz for smoother motion and animations.
It has a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a pixel density of 402ppi. It also boasts a 20:9 aspect ratio, 91.9% screen-to-body ratio, 1100 nits of peak brightness, Just Noticeable Color Difference (JNCD) of around 0.3, and 8,192 levels of brightness.
Further, the OnePlus 8T’s front panel has a flat display and does not feature dual-curved edges. The phone’s display is covered by a sheet of Corning’s Gorilla Glass and has a body crafted mainly out of glass.
On the top-left corner, there’s a punch-hole cut-out and the display is HDR10+ certified. It also supports sRGB and DCI-P3 colour gamut range, as well as equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Beside the 120Hz Fluid AMOLED display, another key highlight of the OnePlus 8T is the faster 65W Warp Charge technology. It utilizes twin-battery charging technology to rapidly reload the large total capacity of 4,500mAh battery and takes just 39 minutes to complete a full charge under normal usage. Also, a quick 15-minute charge gives about 58% of battery power.
As for performance, the OnePlus 8T is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, which is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone comes in two RAM/Storage options: 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB.
Moving on, OnePlus 8T is the company’s first smartphone to run on OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11 out-of-the-box with features like Always-On Display, zen mode 2.0, revamped design, and dark mode.
This smartphone supports dual-mode 5G (SA/ NSA), which is provided by the Snapdragon X55 modem. It also supports Wi-Fi 6 for faster, more reliable data speeds.
On the camera front, the OnePlus 8T has a quad-camera system, which includes a 48MP main Sony IMX586 camera and f/1.7 aperture. It also includes a 16MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 123-degree field-of-view (FOV), a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP monochrome sensor to help with black-and-white photographs.
The primary camera supports OIS (optical image stabilization) that helps in recording 4K UHD videos up to 60FPS and super slow-motion videos up to 240FPS. The camera app offers features like video nightscape, video portrait and Pro mode, and more.
According to OnePlus, the smartphone also features an improved cooling system for better thermal performance during gaming.
OnePlus 8T will be available in two color variants, namely Aquamarine Green and Lunar Silver. It will be available through OnePlus.com on October 23rd at 11 AM EDT for $749 USD and $1,099 (CAD) – pre-sale is available now.
