Nintendo on Tuesday announced that Dr. Mario World, a puzzle game series for iOS and Android smartphones, will go out of service on November 1, 2021, at 6 a.m. (UTC).
Starting July 28, 2021, “diamond” sales (premium currency) will also no longer be available for purchase in the game’s storefront.
For those unaware, Dr. Mario World is a match-three mobile game developed and published by Nintendo in collaboration with Line Corporation and NHN Entertainment. Released in July 2019, the game is based on Nintendo’s highly successful Dr. Mario NES game.
“We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who has played the game since it began service on July 10, 2019,” wrote Nintendo on the official game website.
End of service notice: The Dr. Mario World game's service will end on Oct. 31, 2021. Thank you very much to the players who have supported the game. For details, please check this link: https://t.co/fC5qnRnLFD

Further, if you start up the Dr. Mario World game after the game’s service has ended, an end-of-service notification will be displayed and you will not be able to play the game.
Additionally, Nintendo is planning to make a web page titled “Dr. Mario World Memories” available for players after the game’s service ends. This web page will provide players with play history information.
“To enable the provision of the Dr. Mario World Memories Service, a portion of your player history will be saved on the server so it can be referenced in Dr. Mario World Memories. If you would like to delete your player history, please go to Delete Save Data in the app and delete your save data.”
Nintendo has also asked its players to check the in-game notices for details on other processes that will be in place for the game’s end of service.
Those who wish to play Dr. Mario World before it is gone can download the game on the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android.
