MultiVersus is a Smash Bros-style fighting game where you can team up with your friends using some of the most iconic characters including Batman, Shaggy, Bugs Bunny, Arya Stark & more for a face-off.

At launch, players can experience a variety of characters, maps, and modes in the MultiVersus Open Beta, including:

Please note that Superman, Finn the Human, Garnet, and Reindog are available to play now as part of the updated Open Beta preview rotation, replacing the Early Access preview characters (Harley Quinn, Shaggy, Jake the Dog, and Taz). All non-preview characters can be earned through gameplay.

Also, Rich Sanchez and Morty Smith from the popular animated series, Rick and Morty would be joining the roster of fighters in season 1.

Maps: The Batcave (DC), Tree Fort (Adventure Time), Scooby’s Haunted Mansion (Scooby-Doo), Sky Arena (Steven Universe), Trophy’s E.D.G.E., Trophy’s E.D.G.E. 2, and Training Room.

Modes: 2 vs. 2 team-based cooperative mode, 1 vs. 1 matches, 4-player free-for-all, 1-4 player local matches, co-op vs. A.I. matches, custom online lobbies, The Lab (practice mode), and tutorials – all offering different ways to play and experience the game.

Players do not require a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold membership to play MultiVersus, as it’s a free-to-play game. However, players can purchase premium currency on storefronts.

The open beta will include optional in-game purchases. Further, all player progression and unlocks earned during the previous Early Access period will be carried forward through the life of the game.

Currently, the developers have not set an end date for the MultiVersus Open Beta, but the team has promised that it will continue to update the game with new characters, maps, seasonal content, and more in the coming months.
