Reliance Jio Infocomm launches Jio Chat App for Android and iOS devices

Reliance Jio Infocomm has launched a new messenger named Jio Chat which will be currently available for Android and iOS device. The App is set to compete with WhatsApp, Line, WeChat, Telegram and Hike in India.

The launch of Jio Chat app comes just before the launch of 4G network by Mukesh Ambani owned Reliance Jio in India.

While Jio Chat app does not look so sophisticated to use, it has all trappings of WhatsApp including voice chat, video chat, ability to send and receive pictures and of course the text. and video Conferencing (group video/ voice chat)

Reliance has also included some additional interesting features in the app including a channel section featuring its tie-ups with HTC, Star TV, Paytm, food ordering app Tiny Owl, Reliance Digital, Reliance Fresh Direct and IPL cricket franchise Mumbai Indians. The app also allows you to create doodles, stickers and emotions and to share your location with your contacts.

As any other messenger app the contacts will be synced when downloaded and free invites can be send to all similar to BBM Channels, The app provides you with the latest trends and even news from the users favorite celebrities or brands, and the best offers.

The app also offers 100 free SMS a month (sent over the data).

Android users can download the Reliance Jio Chat App from Google play store and the iOS users can visit Apple app store to download the app.
