Budget 4G LTE enabled smartphone, Lenovo A7000 with 5.5 inch display and 2GB RAM to be available to buy from Wednesday for Rs.8999
Lenovo’s A7000 budget 4G LTE-enabled smartphone will go on sale again on Wednesday. For registered users on Flipkart, the fifth flash sale will start at 2pm IST. At the time of writing, Lenovo India had not disclosed the number of Lenovo A7000 units that will be going on sale in the flash sale on Wednesday. The last sale saw 20,000 units being sold in 31 seconds.
The company unfortunately never disclosed the number of Lenovo A7000 units that were sold in the third and fourth flash sales as well as the timeframe in which the available handsets went out of stock. The second sale saw 35,000 units getting sold; though no details on the time taken was shared by Lenovo India. 30000 units of the A7000 were sold in the first flash sale within 4 seconds.
At the India launch of A7000 smartphone, Lenovo explained the flash sale method that it would be making use of, which will allow a 4-hour window for the consumers to finish their transaction once the product is added to their shopping cart. The Lenovo A7000 is priced at Rs. 8,999.
The A7000 is the elder sibling of the company’s popular 4G LTE budget offering, the Lenovo A6000. It features a larger display as well as upgraded specifications and Dolby Atmos technology – touting it as a multimedia device.
The Lenovo A7000 features a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with a 720×1280 pixels resolution. It is powered by an octa-core 1.5GHz (MediaTek MT6572M) processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It supports dual-SIM (Micro-SIM) while running Android 5.0 Lollipop with Vibe UI running on top. The Lenovo A7000 is backed by a 2900mAh battery. The handset comes with an in-built storage capacity of 8GB, which can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. It measures 152.6×76.2×7.99mm and weighs 140 grams.
On the connectivity front, the smartphone include 4G/ LTE (FDD Band 1, 3, 7, 20; TDD Band 40), Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB, just like its predecessor. For camera lovers, it features an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front facing camera.
Priced at Rs. 8,999, Lenovo A7000 faces competition from Micromax Yu Yuphoria which is competitively priced at Rs. 6,999. The price difference clearly plays a major role here. Even though Micromax Yu Yuphoria is priced Rs. 2,000 lesser than Lenovo A7000, it offers comparable specs. Other than a lasting battery and a faster processor, Yu Yuphoria has an upper hand or stands equal to Lenovo A7000.
Lenovo A7000 is in direct competition in the 4G LTE connectivity category with Micromax Yureka, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G, Nokia Lumia 638 and Xolo LT900.
