Fappening 2.0: Hackers leak nude images of Miley Cyrus, Katharine McPhee, Kristen Stewart, Stella Maxwell, Lindsey Vonn, Anne Hathaway and Tiger Woods online
As we said yesterday when the hackers hacked into the iCloud account of British supermodel Dannielle Lloyd and leaked her private explicit images, the Fappening hackers seem to be getting active again. While there is still no direct link between the first Fappenning of 2014, the Fappening 2.0 of March 2017 and the current nude leaks, one can’t help but connect the dots as the modus operandi seems the same.
The current celebrities who are victims of the Fappening 2.1 are Miley Cyrus, Kristen Stewart, Anne Hathaway, Lindsey Vonn and Tiger Woods whose nude images were leaked online by using the same strategy i.e. by hacking their iCloud accounts.
Unknown hackers leaked the nude images of  American Idol star Katharine McPhee, Miley Cyrus, Kristen Stewart in the morning. This was followed by another set of nude leaks this time of ace golfer, Tiger Woods and Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn.
All the images were leaked on to a website called Celeb Jihad which has become notorious for hosting such Fappening 2.0 leaks. The website allegedly posted a topless photo of Stewart, a compromising image of Cyrus and her ex-girlfriend Victoria’s Secret model Stella along with hacked images of Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn and her ex-boyfriend Tiger Woods.
While Cyrus and Stewart have not responded to the alleged leak, Lindsey Vonn has taken great umbrage at the attack on her privacy. “It is an outrageous and despicable invasion of privacy for anyone to steal and illegally publish private intimate photos,” Lindsey’s spokesperson said in a statement to People.
“Lindsey will take all necessary and appropriate legal action to protect and enforce her rights and interests. She believes the individuals responsible for hacking her private photos as well as the websites that encourage this detestable conduct should be prosecuted to the fullest extent under the law.”
Tiger Woods also condemned the leaks and called them an attack on his individual privacy. The skier and golfer duo confirmed that the nude images were theirs and were taken before the two split in 2015. Both Woods and Lindsey have threatened legal actions against the hackers and the websites hosting their images.
Another victim of current Fappening leaks is the former American Idol star Katharine McPhee has also confirmed she will be taking legal action against both the hackers and the website hosting her nude images.
We are calling these new set of nude leaks as Fappening 2.1. For those who have been following the Fappening, the first nude images of Hollywood celebs were leaked in October 2014. This was followed by Fappening 2.0 in April when nude images and videos of over 100 celebrities including Amanda Seyfried, Emma Watson, Rose McGowan, figure skater Analeigh Tipton, model Dylan Penn, “Arrow” star Katie Cassidy and many others were leaked. The difference between the Fappening 1.0 and Fappening 2.0 was that Fappening 1.0 consisted only of Hollywood stars while the second iteration of Fappening consisted of Hollywood stars, hockey players, soccer players, WWE divas etc. Even now the hackers have targeted a golfer and an Olympic skier i.e. Woods and Lindsey.
From what we here, this is not the end of it and we can expect more leaks in days to come.
