This guy built a bot to apply to thousands of jobs at once, here’s what happened!!!

job application machine

This is one way to start getting your applications in companies a little earlier than the competition

Sending applications to multiple companies is going to be a tiring process, regardless of how much coffee or nutrients you end up consuming, so there is one thing that you can do to solve that. Become Robert Coombs, a capable individual who works at a national non-profit organization since 2012. He started seeking other jobs in various tech companies after his subordinates started getting better at their own job than he would have expected.

Even though he does not have an engineering background, he has knowledge on automating things such as data processing, and other things. In order to apply to several companies in the shortest time possible, he made a tool to automate his job application processing. In a nutshell, his tool comprises of crawlers, spreadsheets, and scripts to help with the entire process.

According to Fast Company, his tool was so effective that by the time he came back with a cup of coffee from down the street, the tool sent around 1,300 job applications. As a result, he terminated the robot’s workings and decided to focus more on improvements. With those improvements implemented, Coombs was able to send 538 job applications, but that does not mean his life was simplified because it was all about the simple errors that the program was making.

However, with further tweaking, he was able to get a call from a total of 43 companies, and though they were small in terms of their operational activity, it shows the miracle workings of a robot when you decide to improve it overtime. When he told his recruiters about the automation process, they were impressed with what he had done, but for now, he has decided to focus on his current job.

Maybe some high-end tech company will recognize his efforts and offer him a position worth his talents.

This hack converts Wii U into a Nintendo Switch (Video)

This hack converts Wii U into a Nintendo Switch (Video)

Nintendo Hack: Want to experience the upcoming Nintendo Switch on your Wii U? Here’s how to do it [VIDEO]

Last month, when Nintendo unveiled its powerful gaming console “Nintendo Switch”, it left everyone wanting for more. With less than a month to go before Nintendo Switch’s official release (March 3, 2017), excited gamers who cannot wait until then or not ready to pay a hefty price for the same have already found a hack with a Wii U console and GamePad that allows them to play games just like in NS.

For the unaware, the Nintendo Switch (codenamed the NX) is Nintendo’s upcoming hybrid video game console and their seventh major game console. It is part home console, part portable – as the main console unit and portable screen plugs into the Nintendo Switch Dock – and the screen can be taken on the go – instantly transitioning into a portable mode.

Hack: How To Convert Wii U In To Nintendo Switch

Since Wii U is the direct predecessor of Nintendo Switch, it is common knowledge that the two systems share lot of key features. To begin with, even though Wii U’s GamePad might be a little chunkier compared to Nintendo Switch, it is still possible to achieve the latter’s handheld mode with Wii U.

According to T3, since Wii U and the Switch share the same screen size (6.2-inches), Wii U can be changed into handheld mode while playing Mario Kart 8 or Breath of the Wild while freeing up the TV and enjoying some pure Nintendo goodness.

You can also recreate Nintendo Switch’s tabletop mode by purchasing a charging dock for Wii U that usually costs around $10. It is converted to the tabletop mode when Wii U is plugged into the charging dock and the GamePad is put on top of the dock.

Xbox One S Laptop Is Here, Ben Hecks Hacks Microsoft Latest Console

Ben Heck Hacks Microsoft’s Latest Console ‘Xbox One S’ And Converts Into A Laptop

Benjamin “Ben” Heck, the creator and host of The Ben Heck Show, has managed to tinker the current generation with the  best gaming console “Xbox One S” released by Microsoft and convert it to an awesome portable laptop complete with screen for full-powered gameplay on the move. For those unfamiliar, Ben is a YouTuber that hacks, builds, re-designs gadgets and talks about different know-hows on his channel.

The video below shows him breaking down the components necessary to make the machine run on a laptop front, and then configuring it for best results. While the there’s a lot of work that goes into making of the laptop, it’s definitely a fascinating process to see what makes an Xbox One tick.

Ben uses many of the major components of the Xbox One S (Blue Ray Drive, Power Supply Unit, a Motherboard, and a Hard Drive) as the base for the laptop. He also uses a controller to navigate menus to start a Blu-Ray movie. Ben takes the motherboard and scans an image of it in Adobe Illustrator. To give him more mounting options, he uses laser patterns to knock holes in the motherboard. He also cuts the aluminium base of the Xbox One S with a computer numerical control (CNC) machine to form part of the laptop chassis.

To ensure that the gaming console that was converted into a laptop has proper ventilation, Ben reduced the hardware size to ensure that it cools properly. He managed to find an appropriate fan that can be controlled at different speeds so that the laptop will not overheat.

Why Does 64-Bit Windows Need Two Program Files Folders?

Why Does 64-Bit Windows Need Two Program Files Folders?

Why Does 64-Bit Windows Need a Separate “Program Files (x86)” Folder?

Since 2005, Microsoft has offered both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of its Windows operating system (OS) to support new 64-bit CPUs. So, if you see a folder Program Files (x86) on your computer, it means that you are running a 64 Bit Windows OS. You will notice that there are two separate folders where your Program Files are kept:

• Program Files (x86), which contains 32-bit programs and applications, and.
• Program Files, which contains 64-bit programs and applications.

But, have you ever wondered why it is necessary to have these two folders and what’s the difference between them?

A 64-bit Windows OS has a backward support for 32-bit applications. Also, a 64-bit Windows stores all 32-bit apps on another folder to let you know that these apps are created for a 32-bit OS, which is also a very good way to organize everything properly.

Windows runs smoother if it keeps these two very different types of code separate. The OS can’t assume that an x86 program even knows that such a thing as x64 code exists, and that could cause problems if they cross. For example, if a 32-bit program went looking for a .dll, and found one that came with an x64 version, the program wouldn’t work and wouldn’t know why it didn’t work. Therefore, keeping them in separate folders is the simplest way to avoid such problems. However, this folder (Program Files x86) is only available on a 64-bit Windows (XP, Vista, 7, 8) OS.

So, is it the 32-bit folder called “(x86)”? x86 is another way to refer to 32-bit processors. Originally, 16-bit processors — specifically, the 8086 and 8088 processor architectures — were referred to as “x86”. This name was later extended to include the 32-bit 80386 and 80486 processor family. When 64-bit processors were introduced, they were referred to as x64 to distinguish them from the older processor lines. The number 86 now refers to pre-x64 code, whether it’s 16- or 32-bit, even though the 16-bit x86 code won’t run in 64-bit versions of Windows.

Other than the Program Files, there are also some other components that have both 32-bit and 64-bit version of Windows. Some of these are stored in Winsxs (stands for Windows Side By Side) and WoW64 (Windows 32-bit on Windows 64-bit), which is a subsystem of the Windows OS capable of running 32-bit applications that is included in all 64-bit versions of Windows.

How To Run High-End Games Without Graphics Card

How to play high quality games without graphic card

Do you face compatibility issues running high-end games on your low-end computer? Is there any way to play high graphic games on a PC without a graphics card? The answer is yes. By using the below methods, you can run games which do not require the graphics card.

Method 1: 3D Analyze

How To Run High-End Games Without Graphics Card

3D Analyze is a tool for transform and lightning hardware emulation. It is a powerful application that allows playing many DirectX based games using video hardware that are officially unsupported and unable to run them. It is also useful in emulating graphics that certain games require when the user’s graphics card simply don’t support it. 3D Analyze allows you to optimize efficiency above what your CPU permits, even though it is a low range card. This program supports Direct3D as much as OpenGL, whichever it may be to optimize your system.

Steps to install and configure 3D-Analyze main settings to play games:

  1. Download 3D Analyze.
  2. Then, install and run the 3D Analyze.
  3. Once done, click on select option as below and then a window opens where you have to choose the .exe file of the game which you want to run.
  4. You will now be able to see names, vendorID, and deviceID of different graphics cards. Choose any one of them and enter the VendorID and DeviceID in the column at the left side.
  5. Click on Run button and enjoy.

Method 2: Razer Cortex: Boost

How To Run High-End Games Without Graphics Card

Razer Cortex: Booster is an application that promises to boost your game and PC lifespan. It also maximizes gaming performance by giving your game higher frames per second. The tool automatically kills unnecessary processes and applications, and resumes them when you are done with gaming. This helps free up valuable resources and RAM that’s needed by intense games.

Steps to install Razer Cortex: Boost:

  1. Download the software named Razer Cortex: Boost by clicking here.
  2. Then, create an account to activate it.
  3. Once your account is created, right click on any game application and launch it with Razer Game Booster.

Method 3: SwiftShader

How To Run High-End Games Without Graphics Card

SwiftShader is a tool for those PC’s which are low on Graphics Card i.e. they do not have dedicated graphics card or their graphic card memory is very small. SwiftShader renders high end 3D graphics which cannot be done by the inbuilt graphics card on the motherboard. Thus, it helps you to play certain games on your computer which otherwise would not run or whose minimum requirements are just above your PC configurations.

SwiftShader’s modular architecture is capable of supporting multiple application programming interfaces, such as DirectX® 9.0, and OpenGL® ES 2.0, the same APIs that developers are already using for existing games and applications.

Steps to download and install SwiftShader:

  1. Download SwiftShader.

* Download Swiftshader 3.0 for x86bits

* Download Swiftshader 3.0 for x64bits

  1. After downloading the ZIP file, extract the files to desktop.
  2. Copy d3d9.dll and paste it into Game root Directory.
  3. Click on .exe file of your game where you placed the d3d9.dll file and start gaming.

Method 4: Wise Game Booster

How To Run High-End Games Without Graphics Card

Wise Game Booster is designed to enhance your gaming experience. It can boost your PC performance immediately by optimizing system settings, ending unnecessary programs and stopping irrelevant services with one single click, making your system resources focus only on the game you are playing. It is much like CCleaner but it doesn’t clean junk files but it is just like having a RAM cleaner on your Windows PC.

Steps to download and install Wise Game Booster:

  1. Download and install Wise Game Booster on your Windows computer.
  2. Run the app and on the homepage, you will get the option “Scan for games” simply tap on that.
  3. Just behind “My Games” tab there is a system optimizer. You can optimize your games and computer before running any game.

* This actually, works best with 3D Analyze. Therefore, optimize your RAM and then use 3D Analyze for better performance.

While the methods provided above may be able compensate for not having a graphics card, it’s still a good idea to get one. Everything you run on your PC depends on your graphics card. A graphics card, or GPU, is a hardware component which renders high quality videos, games, and software.

If you don’t have a graphic card, then all the programs you run will cause your processor to overheat, potentially damaging it. Moreover, you can’t expect to run multiple tasks without a graphics card. Not, having a graphics card can also cause adverse effects on other hardware components like motherboard etc.

So,  if you can afford to buy a graphic card, it is recommended to buy one.
